Bevan’s role at Offbeat centres around understanding how the different parts of marketing connect and translating that into something meaningful for clients.
With a background spanning digital design, websites, strategy and data analysis, Bevan works across the technical and creative sides of marketing – helping organisations understand what’s actually happening across their digital ecosystem and how different channels influence one another.
While he is often viewed as the “technical” person within the team, his background originally started in photography and digital imaging, which still shapes the way he approaches digital today. For Bevan, digital is as much about psychology, creativity and user behaviour as it is about technology.
A large part of Bevan’s work involves identifying relationships between different areas of marketing that are often looked at in isolation.
That might be understanding how PR activity influences organic search visibility, how social engagement affects wider campaign performance, or how users move through a website and make decisions along the way.
He enjoys getting deep into data, looking beyond surface-level metrics to understand the bigger picture and help clients make more informed decisions. Often, his role is to take large amounts of information and translate it into something clear, actionable and commercially useful.
Bevan naturally notices opportunities for improvement that are often missed.
Rather than taking a standardised approach, he focuses on understanding what is actually useful for each individual client – whether that’s improving how a website is structured, making events more discoverable online, or helping organisations build stronger visibility around key services and expertise.
Much of his work centres around making digital activity more connected, so that websites, PR, content, social and search all support each other rather than operating separately.
Bevan works best in environments where people don’t take themselves too seriously.
He enjoys working with like-minded people who genuinely care about what they do, value relationships, and share a common purpose. That collaborative and agile approach plays a big part in how Offbeat operates as a team.
His experience across service-led industries, particularly within the built environment and facilities management sectors, has also shaped how he approaches digital strategy – focusing less on isolated marketing activity and more on building trust, visibility and long-term relationships.
At Offbeat, Bevan works closely with the wider team across strategy, PR, content and social to ensure digital activity supports the wider commercial goals of each client.
A key part of his role is helping clients understand how the wider marketing ecosystem works – not just individual campaigns or adverts, but how all channels connect to influence visibility, engagement and decision-making over time.
Outside of work, Bevan places a strong focus on maintaining balance and perspective.
His faith, meditation and keeping fit all play an important role in helping him stay grounded, alongside giving back and supporting others where he can.
An important part of his life outside of work is men’s mental health, and recovery, having been sober for several years – something that continues to shape his outlook, values and approach to life.
